Bengkel Mengurus Islamophobia Siri 2/2013

 Contoh-contoh Kes Islamophobia Antarabangsa:

Kes 1-
German - Germany Bans Salafi Groups For Advocating Sharia Law - German far right campaigns for the suppression of IslamGermany on Wednesday banned three ultra-conservative Salafist Muslim groups which the Interior Ministry said wanted to overturn democracy and install a system based on sharia, or Islamic law. The ban, which took effect in the western states of Hesse and North Rhine-Westphalia in the early morning, is the latest step taken by German authorities who have increased surveillance of Salafists who espouse a radical version of Islam.

Kes 2-

Sutton - Opponents Organize Petition against New Mosque in Sutton – Plans for a controversial new mosque in Worcester Park had been met with fierce opposition. Businesses and residents had joined forces to sign a petition to ensure the plans did not go ahead. Petitions had been seen in various shops along Central Road which claimed the increased traffic would bring the area to a stand still.Sutton Council had received a submission for a place of worship at numbers 2-4 Green Lane. Although the council was yet to confirm plans were for a mosque, the drawings which had been submitted included plans for a male and a female prayer room. The petitions cited traffic as the main issue, but scratched a little under the surface, and a different picture becomes clear. One businessman said: “It’s not just the traffic but I’m being diplomatic. This cannot happen.” There was also, predictably, a Facebook page titled “Ban the Worcester Park, Green Lane Mosque”. Its wider objective was to “Ban the every growing building of Mosques in and around the surrounding area Epsom and Ewell”.

 Kes 3-

New Zealand -  New Zealand MP: Ban Muslims from Flights - New Zealand First MP Richard Prosser has spoken out in defence of his "Wogistan" rant which has been slammed as racist by Muslim leaders and politicians. In a column for Investigate Magazine, the Waimakariri list MP suggested young Muslims shouldn't be allowed to travel on Western airlines because "most terrorists are Muslims".
"If you are a young male, aged between say about 19 and about 35, and you're a Muslim, or you look like a Muslim, or you come from a Muslim country, then you are not welcome to travel on any of the West's airlines," he wrote. Prime Minister John Key was "appalled" by the comments, while the New Zealand Muslim Association called them "senseless".
